Check the Features and Specs. tab and the Tuner section.

I think RDS is more a European thing than a N. American one. I like it though.
RDS is almost a requirement of broadcast engineering in the US. All the major food groups of radio require it be implemented ( clear channel, CBS, Citadel, etc....)

It does however differ from the EU set up as we cannot have continuous scrolling text.

And SC you are correct, by my rough calculations less than 10%of aftermarket radios offer the feature. Could never figure that one out. Cost me all of $25 to modify mine to do that. They are throwing money at HD, which will be dead in about another year, but won't add this on.

Yeah I can fully shut off the sub from the head unit but still it seems like the sub has done enough so that even with only the door speakers you can hear things loose.
Did you have any problems like this?

Also, the windows creak really badly when you roll them up and it keeps creaking for about 4-5 min. This is really annoying!

That is a pretty dated stereo system; also discontinued.

I want to install a stereo that supports Bluetooth as my X3 didn't come with it. The Business CD stereo in my X3 is pretty basic to start with. I guess RDS is not that important, just would have been good to have.

Unhappy

[QUOTE=LvdB;3972579] Finaly! Amp and Sub installed. Sounds Guuuud

800W 10" FLI sub driven by 2 channel (bridged) Fireworkx amp. Amp set at around 25% output. Not setup to vibrate the surroundings, lol, but just enough to put a little smile on my face . I now have the addition of that missing low-end sound I was craving for (the likes you would normally expect from BMW). - even my wife likes it ...lol

Not as fancy and wow as other installations I've seen. But I think this is not bad, not bad at all! (...?)

Thanks for the advice Evlengr.

See how the compartment/cavities (directly behind the rear seats) and rear seat arrangement differ on the left-hand models compared to my right-hand model. I had to remove the supporting-foot from the top cover to make way for the amp though. But the original cover fits nice and tight over the amp. And with the amp idling at around 25%, the heat generated from the amp is'nt a problem. Think I might make a fiberglass cover with glass window for the amp and red flexlight around the amp, later on - just for fun.

Nice work

Nice work.

Couple of quick questions:

Do you have "dynamat" behind that sub?

Are you going to put a protective grill over the sub?

How does your amp run enclosed?

I took out the latch plastics covers to give it a little ventilation and that seems good.
