Greetings. I have finally registered after following Bimmerfest for quite some time. I currently drive a 2006 325i. I have owned that for about 5 years and now I'm considering the F30. This is my first post and just wanted to say hey.

Hi, I'm new here today. Just got a 2009 535i series.
I thought this would be a good place to start. The manual is making me crazy. So many things to learn. I do have a question. What did I do to screw up my door locks. When I got the car a few days ago, it would lock as I walked away from it. But after pushing all kinds of buttons it isn't working. I have to use the non key to lock it when I'm getting out. Thanks for any help you can give me! I am flabbergasted with the manual. I've never had to read one on any of my cars and I had a BMW before but not like this one

What's up everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to the forum and to the BMW lifestyle. And after reading some of the posts here, I see that driving a BMW is a way of life. I'm looking to get into my first BMW and I've found a lot of useful information here. I've always admired BMWs from afar, it's time to get up close and personal!

Hey all,
I'm not new to the site, but new to posting. I'm a first time owner of BMW and love driving them, but my car broke down it was either fix it or pay some ungodly amount to get it repaired. Thanks to all this great info I was able to do a tranny swap on my 03' 525 sport wagon and save a ton |

Hi Everyone,
I am AJ and I have a 1999 5-Series (528i) that up until recently I thought was on it's last leg, although I've taken good decent care of the car, I wasn't the most mechanically inclined. Then a co-worker of mine whom used to be a BMW technician opened my eyes to how easy it could be to repair the minor things wrong with the car. After a Tune up and oil service and service inspection done in my garage, I became a believer again. So I am in the midst of restoring my car back to it's original beauty. I've become a true fan of the car again. Now of course I am still knee deep into trouble with it with a bad right wheel bearing that My friend and I spent the better part of a weekend trying to replace, but we didn't have the proper tools to get the bearing out, so I've decided I'll pay for that at the mechanic whom I would ordinarily take the car to for major work. The car still needs to be painted and after a night of bad judgement backing into my garage has cost me a passenger side Rear View Mirror Cover but that's online for purchase next week. I actually decided I need to post so I can learn some more tricks of the trade fixing my own car, and perhaps hear stories from you fellow owners out there as well. I hope to learn a lot here and I appreciate the knowledge and lessons in advance.. nuff said, AJ |

Hello,
My name is Bob. I drive a 2003 Z4 3.0i. I was in test driving a new Z4 to replace my current one when my SA said I should do European Delivery. When Searching for information on that I stumbled on this site. Lots of good information here. By the way, my new 2013 Z4 sDrive 35i is scheduled to be picked up in Munich on September 17th. |

Hi, I just discovered the BMW Z3 and it was love at first sight. I know you must think "where has this guy been" but I have been a GM guy all of my life and never took the time to explore the BMW family. Always thought that eventually I would be a Corvette owner. I just don't like the looks of the newer models and don't have the energy to work on an older one. Anyway, recently found my 2001 Z3 2.5i and like the title says, I'm in love again. Not a bad thing for a 65 year old retired electrician.

Hello Everyone. I am new here and new owner of an '05 545i. Looking forward to learning much and, eventually, helping others. Have riden/maintained BMW motorcycles for 25 years, but this is my first BMW car. Finally pulled the trigger on the E60 after I helped my son find a beautiful 540i-6 last summer.

Hello everyone,
I want to express my sincere appreciation to all the members of this blog. This is such a great site. I have 2006 325i. Had central lock problem last week. Thanks to all the post related to that problem, I was able to fix a major headache simply by replacing fuse #57! You all have a great July 4th holidays. Thanks again.
