Have 2 Bimmers, Z4 and 335i, guess I like going fast. Joining to get some tips on audio upgrades..
Audio in the 335 is HiFi and "horrible". Hoping just the amp replacement provides enough help, we'll see!
Funny, the Z4 sounds pretty good to me.

Expect to PM Technic for his harness.

Hi, I love my 1983 528e and put a lot of money into maintaining it. I just had the wire to the electric pump changed, a 12 gauge was used. Is this voltage to high?

Hi all,

My name is Kim and I am a proud owner of a Cranberry colored 2008 528i. Thanks for the forum. As a new member I can't wait to start getting advice and answers from those who aren't out to shaft me on ridiculous repair and service costs.

I love the way the BMW looks and drives. The only problem is that I don't have one. I really don't know anything about them either. I thought this forum could educate me and help me find the best car that I can afford with the least amount of problems.

I am in the market for a new car and wanted to try a 5-series. I drove 2010 528i x-drive. It was a nice car but I wanted more power. I then drove 535i x-drive and this is to my liking! But I am really concerned about the reliability. The particular car has 36K miles on and has already had bunch of work done, including 2 HPFP (@ 4K and 16K miles respectively). Spark plug failure 2@4K and power window jam is at 7K too. Unfortunately engine oil changes only at 16K and 30K.

I guess I should run away from this as fast as possible, right?? :-(

The best way to learn about the beamer and any issue that other members have experienced with the particular model that you are looking at is to look in section of the forum that discusses that particular model then you may get an idea and also go and test drive one.It never costs anything to test drive !

Mein Auto: 2004 325i
Hello, I just joined but have used this site numerous times in the past to get advice on repairs. I have a 2004 e46 325i. My wife uses the car to commute to work. It has about 177,000 miles on it now and runs great. The car still looks great too. BMW paint must be superb because with a good wash and wax teh car litterally still looks new. I normally do the maintenance myself and have done most repairs myself. I have repaired most things you will see on this site in reference to "known" problems with my model, such as the tail lights, vanos, oil filter housing, lower control arms, coolant reservoir, etc... As of right now everything seems to be fine although I do have a slight vibration in the rear which you can only feel at certain speeds and my wife doesn't even notice it. I am thinking that is probably in a tire and/or wheel though. This site has been great for me, i actually printed off instructions with pictures when I replaced the seal in the vanos.

Hi I have an E38 740 which is a 1994 model. Why is it that even on this site you have E38's from 1995 to 2001?

HI, I'm Jim. I took the SAE Applied Vehicle Dynamics class at the BMW driver training center in 2007 and wanted a Beemer ever since. Just picked up my first BMW last week. A 2008 535i. Can't wait to start modding!

Mein Auto: 2000 528i
Bought a 2000 528i in May for a price that was competitive with the Toyotas and Hondas I was looking at. Now I see why. I have come to refer to my car as the Ultimate Driveway Machine, but as a result I have learned much more than if I had bought a perfectly working car. I have got step by step instructions on everything I have needed to do off the forums. I love the inline 6 because everything is accessible compared to the transverse 4s or even the V8s. I just want a car I can rely on.

Ian here from So Cal but living in the bay area. Just purchased a 91 325IX coupe last night from Bmw enthusiast. Motor and interior is as clean as it gets. Her body though is a work in progress. Have been a Beemer fan for a long time and glad to finally enter the game.
