What's up everyone. I visit this site all of the time and finally decided to join. I have owned nothing but BMW's for almost 20 years. My first bimmer was a 1982 320i in 1993, second was a 1991 318i in 1995, a 1997 M3 in 1999, a 2003 X5 in 2004, and I am currently waiting on my 2013 M5 which I just ordered the last week of August. I CAN'T WAIT! I will post pictures soonest. Looking forward to chatting.

Thanks for the welcome! I just joined Bimmerfest. I'm on my third BMW. Nothing went wrong with the first two, it just took a while to find one I felt comfortable with. Its a 1995 325IS, and I've put all but twenty of the 135,000 miles on the car myself. While I'm torn sometimes between buying a new car and getting repairs done, I'll still be driving a BMW.
I look forward to learning more here! |

I have a 2001 BMW X-5. My computer screen is all srambeled. When I tap on it, it clears up for a few seconds and then it srambeles again. Today I tapped it again and kept pressing down on it while it was working and put the end of a small screw driver between the dash and the monitor to keep it secure. It worked for about a mile and I got to my destination with it working. When I returned to the car and turned it on, it was srambeles once again. Is a connection loose? How do I get to the back of the monitor?

Hi All - I just sold by 2000 Audi A6 and got a 2013 528xi. The Audi was great car, but after almost 13 years, I wanted to try a different manufacturer. I narrowed my choices to the 528 and new GS350. The German cars, in my opinion drive so much better and the finish is nicer. I look forward to many years of ownership with my new car and learning more from this forum.

Intro
Good day to all members. I am new here, just bought my first BMW, a 2000 model 740il, bought it at auction, has mostly cosmetic issues, and some very minor body damage, my goal is to get it back to as close to perfect as I can, so any advice or suggestions are much appreciated, especially locating parts/service in the Gulf States area of the US. i look forward to hearing from any and all.

Hello everyone! Great site, great people, great advice, not to mention a great car. I'm new to BMW's. Just picked up a 2001 325xi. Needs a little help here and there but overall in good shape for a car with over 200K miles. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I bought my 2011 328i (30,000) a little over a week ago. The first time I'd ever driven a BMW was the test drive, and there was no turning back. I freaking love this car.

Hi everyone,
My name is Derek and I am new to this forum. I am also a new BMW owner residing here in Calgary, Alberta (aka. Cowtown). I must admit..it blows my mind sometimes that I have a BMW. I've always been a Japanese car owner (Honda, Acura), but decided I'd like to try something new. Living in Calgary, it seems everyone and their uncle drives a bimmer (LOL), but I must admit.. the sleek look of the 328 and 325 warms my heart. So in a fit of heated passion, I went to BMW Gallery on Crowfoot and started shopping ![]() I first looked at the 320i, since this was more in my price range. However, after adding up all the extra (premium package + sunroof, etc.), it ended up being actually the same price to go "up a level" and get the base 328i. I decided on the Alpine White model (Luxry Edition) as I love the chrome bumber and accents. I also got it with the sleek saddlebrown interior (an amazing color contrast). Its a beautiful car. In retrospect, I do wish I would have spent the extra $, and caught the 328i with both the Premium and Executive packages (NAV, Bluetooth, etc.)....but I ended up on getting SIRUS as the upgrade. All I am happy with the car and amazed at how nice it drives. I look forward to meeting all of you and enjoying this site. Cheers, Derek |

I finally joined this forum after having my passion for BMW reignited.
I was a big fan of BMW growing up but after the lease of family's '07 3 series ended, the passion gradually faded with the memory. Following bunch of electric steering and turbo charging news from BMW, I pretty much given up hope and though I'd be one of those guys that start my conversation with "back in my days" All that changed yesterday when I went to a comparison test drive event hosted by BMW. I got to test drive bunch of new 328xi and 335xi with different trims and packages, against competitors including TL SH-AWD, G37x, C300 4 matic, A4 s-line (what a joke). The event was fantastic. I had a blast there. Met some cool people and drove some awesome cars. By the way, the name Clarissa is just a nick name I acquired from another forum. But i'm a guy...all x inches of guyness. |
