Attention all new members

Hi ,

Today I purchased a 2013 X1 x28i. This is my first Import and my first BMW . This is my daily driver, trading in my 2010 Ford Escape FWD. While the X1 is smaller, it just handles amazingly! What a fun crossover to drive. No, it's not the most expensive BMW that's for sure, however I'm thrilled to own this new car. My show car is a 2006 Mustang GT Vert that occupies the 1 car garage, I am probably the ONLY BMW owner where that ride will be outside 24/7.

Looking forward to learning about these cars on this Forum.

Hi everybody, I am new to this forum but I really like to drive BMWs and have owned them most of my life.

However, new BMWs frighten and confuse me.

I'm new here!
I'm the proud owner of a pristine 328I, manual transmission. My daily driver for the latest 9 years. By just giving her good maintenance she rewards me with a joy to drive, still extraordinary performance and decent fuel economy. I simply cannot part with it! I've been trying the new ones but no one came close in driving involvement, the shear pleasure to feel in control all the times. No too much electronic babyseating!
I'm considering an equally well maintained 540.
My second car is an Audi A8 4.2
I'm an airline captain, my other drive is a Boeing 777.

I own a 1991 325i convertible, i purchased it when i retired, 3 years ago. the car has 52(k) miles. It's great fun to drive and gives me many hours of driving pleasure!!!!! I live on Long Island, NY, I only had the car off the Island once. I don't drive in the rain or snow and since the beginning of this year i have put on 2(k) miles.

sold my jeep wagoneer and purchased a 328I 2000 that was well taken care of. Having issues with radiator but other than that it's a cool car!

I simply love BMW's. Is it me or does it seem like these vehicles had modern technology long before other automakers....Currently deciding between to 745li's, a 2004 with 130k miles or a 2005 with 145k...

There is a post in the forums from 2009 about staying away from this store and I wanted to apologize for the inconvenience to the consumer. This I know will not make up for any of the delays in driving or enjoying your BMW. But I would like to start somewhere. I was not part of the deal or service issue but it is my place of employment and do take great pride in delivering on what we promise. I have been a Client Advisor for Mazda, VW and BMW since 2004 but left for six months in 2009 oddly enough when I think things got tough for everyone. I returned after that sixth months and started to see things change in my own attitude and others around me. I have learned a lot over the past few years about customer service and doing things from my heart rather than for a sale. There is mangement here now that supports our clients and really wants to see you enjoy your visit to our store. They are very willing to go forth the extra steps to keep a happy customer. More than I have ever seen before. Its more about doing things right because it's the right thing to do for human kind. Currently driving a 2013 550i demo/ loaner from the dealership while my 2013 X5 50i is being assembled back stateside. Can't wait to get it out on the autobahn! Hello all, my first post and my first BMW. Picked up an 85 635CSi from a neighbor. Bit of a beater but it's a standard and great fun to drive. I'm sure I'll benefit from the experience on this board!

Thanks to Yorgi for his " brake pad and rotor change DIY with pics ". I was able to reset my brake pads check control message.
