Attention all new members

I seem to run into this great sight all the time and thought it was time to join you nice folks. I have two old BMW's, a 98 740 iL and an 87 325i. Thank you all for the nice work. It is a very helpful site.

Hi all. We are just about to adventure into the world of BMW for the first time. On a whim last April, we traded our VW Toureg in for a Mini Cooper. The Mini couldn't be more fun, the MPG is unreal and its just so darn cute. Problem is, winter has come and the Mini, even with snow tires, is no longer so stellar. After much debate, many SUVs driven and seriously thought about cost, we've decided to lease a X3. The car is ordered and should arrive in a few weeks. Until then, we will have to battle winter in our little car and hope for the best.
FYI- For whatever reason, I've wanted a 70's 2002 my entire life. I think my best friend's mom had one when I was a tiny kid and the coolness of that car has always stuck with me.

Just wanted to say hello properly (after having posted a question and a few comments in other threads).

Recently ordered a 2013 328i x drive-- my first BMW. I'm a little worried about the new automatic, after an extended (400 mile) rental, but decided to take the plunge anyway. Even if I end up not loving the tranny, I'm sure the car as a whole will be terrific.

I wanted to thank all the knowledgeable folks on the F30 forums. Really helped in option selection and in dissecting my lease deal.

40 years old...probably the right time to join the club. Never wanted one before, but after test driving, had to have it. Superior engineering.

I love it too! The wheels are forgiato concavo with everything painted black except for the face which is silver.

I can & will respond to questions on the various threads to help the DIY'ers as best as I can. I am looking forward to becoming an active member of the Bimmerfest community!.

@000 528i fault codes came up p031 p032 and p0303 all say crank position sensor. Replaced same to no avail. Car wont start just turns over. HELP could it be plugs and points. Not rich and cant keep replacing parts. Has anyone experienced these codes and problems>
