LIVE Bimmerfest Chat - Stuck so you can post when you want to chat :D

Due to recent problems with IRCnet, we are moving IRC servers to one of my servers.

Server: irc.enpriva.com
Port : 6667

There is also a new web-based client that I've installed at:
http://irc.enpriva.com

This should be a significant improvement over using IRCnet, with reduced server lag and a more stable web-based IRC client among other new features.

Alex: Could you update the instructions on where to connect in the first post?

The link you posted doesn't work for me

I just logged in but instead of "Melissa" (said it was in use), I went with "Mlis" and it worked. Be sure to put the # before bimmerfest.

First you gotta join ircnet, then download their chat utility. If you are behind a firewall (as I am) then you got some additional problems......

Nope, the problem is that there is no port 6667.

I get the IRC page but it won't connect to a channel

guess I don't do geek well, where's the auto-configure mode when you need it ...

does anybody have the URL handy where I can download the software from?

I can'y seem to get back there now either, but I can email you a copy of the latest mIRC program

but IMO it's a waste of effort unless you know exactly what you're doing, not very user-friendly or at least it did me no good
