True, thanks for the reply, that does put it in perspective. I don't have any experience with any BMW dealership. I can just call any BMW service department and hope that they give me a service history of any VIN?

I recently purchased a 2008, 650 with 41K. I went for the coupe because I don't like convertible styling on most cars. I previously owned a 2005 545, 2001 525, and 1999 325. So the progression to a 6 was natural. So far it is performing well. This car is a little more front biased than my previous BMWs so it has some understeer. However I can say I get more compliments in the 6 than any other car. People take notice. The V8 in the 650 is better than the one in the 545. I hope the overall reliability is better, but i did get over 210K miles on the 545. Enjoy the car!!! It still drives better than most things out there.

I LOVE my 650i Conv. in triple black. The look and the drive are amazing. The only thing that I have had problems with is the computer system. Sometimes false warnings come up. I have learned not to drag myself to the dealership everytime now.

Hi, I've been searching for 6 series, but was wondering if there is a certain year that I should stay away from? Any help would be much appreciated.

Also does anyone know of a site that list out all of the differences from year to year for the 6-series?

Edmunds.com is fairly descriptive and useful for comparing model years. Wouldn't say there is any particular year to stay away from. Obviously, there were material changes made in 2006 and 2008, and then the newest model in 2012

new to the 6 series world, thinking about pulling the trigger on a 2006 650i vert tomorrow. black/black auto, 54k miles, every option available as well as brand new 22" rims/ tires. He's firm on $26,500.

Is that a good deal or just ok? From what I've seen a lot of people are asking more, not sure what the actual market is though. Appreciate the insight!

I paid 30,000 for a 07 with 78,000 miles, but i have no issues and it runs like a champ....

If you do buy it, get rid of those 22's, they will give you issues in the future, trust me.

Hello, well I bought my 2005 BMW and I love the overall look of the car. It's just sexy period.

But...if anything goes wrong...man..that can be a killer. Maybe I just got a bad one without knowing it but it seems like I'm putting mine in the shop about every few months. A few months after I first bought her a little plastic piece in the Moonroof broke that cost me over a $1K to replace, my amp has gone out, I've had 2 separate oil leaks, the adaptive lights have just malfunctioned and there was something else that I can't remember right now. So it may be just my car and I hope others aren't having this issue but geesh I'm tired of things breaking down. It's about 8 years old right now and I'm wondering if that's when things start going bad especially with this model. But I drive mine regularly. It doesn't stay in the garage like I've heard some others do the 6 series.

I love my 06 650 droptop.
BWM El Cajon let me push the 13 for a week. I just returned it saturday..with alot of hesitation. when I got back in my 06...i was pissed, but I still love her, but if you get the 06 to 09. get the warranty. trust me. i just had 8000k of piston work and 3500 on a/c work. warranty covered the proned defections that will eventually happen.

I just got an 07 650 drop last week and I love it so far. Beige with cream/black interior cold weather package, sport package, comfort, premium sound black rag.
