Wow! Those prices are quite an increase over current Z4 prices. If these are true USA numbers, how many can BMW be expecting to sell?
I love BMW products but doubt that many will chose to buy a small roadster at these prices in this economy when there are so many more choices available in the used market. Who wouldn't rather choose a 2 year old Z4 at $20,000 less? This is a big disappointment. ![]() I'll keep my E90 330i Sedan with the same engine as the Z. |

yes, the price increase is substantial...yes those are the real numbers.
BMW will sell every one they make...as usual.

Wow is right - $59K for a car similarly equipped to mine with the twin turbos. More than $10K higher if memory serves. That is a tough sell even for a Z4luvr like me. I guess I will be getting a CPO Z4 when I turn in my car. $25K for a low mileage 3.0si or $60K for a new twin turbo? Hard to go new.
![]() I guess they won't be making that many of them.

Yes, they will sell every one they make but how many and how long will they sit is the question.

Wow, a medium-optioned 35i would cost thousands more than my M did a couple of years ago. These prices are out of control.

Not that a 35i would be equivalent to an M, but it does make 300 hp/300 lb-ft of torque at 1500 rpms to the M's 330 hp/262 lb-ft at 4900 rpms.

And, if anything like the previous Z4, only after offering tons of trunk money.

It reminds me a lot of the Mitsubishi-built 3.0L twin-turbo that put out 300 hp / 300 ft lbs in my 1991 3000GT VR4. In fact, didn't BMW use Mitsubishi turbos in the N54?

that price is getting far too high imo, more than the comparable model slk's now (which were always more, though i guess in part only b/c of the metal roof)
it does really open the door for a z2, closer to z3 size w/a soft top lighter weight & perhaps a few less amenities, perhaps an entry model w/a turbo 4 in the low/mid 30s & a nice i6 in the low 40's i'll wait to get a used one @ that price (not to mention i'm still depressed on the z4 resale value as it is...) |

For that money you might as well switch over to a P-car...

Probably won't be any trunk money for awhile.

I already have made my decision - I'm keeping my current Z4. $25 grand which includes the CPO and a CD changer. A new Z4 would cost $52,900 to get it equiped like mine - everything is the same except the new one is a retractable hard top. I think those prices will pretty much make the new model unaffordable for most. But I do think the value of the 2003 - 2008 Z's will hold fairly steady - I figure I came out 30 grand to the good

![]() It might be worth looking into buying out my lease when it's up instead of getting a cpo m3 vert or a new z4. Fvck ![]() sorry...I can't seem to type today...I think the prices have blinded me a bit, sorry for the typo in subj line |

For that base price it should come with a happy ending too
![]() Optioned out I think it'd be more than my 07 335cic was. ...sticker on my current 07 M Roady is 59k (granted, it had no extras...I only cared about that engine when picking out the vehicle) |

I guess if you want to save $$$ and get a ragtop, you can get the 135 vert, but it's not a roadster.

I drive an '07 e93 with that "retractable hardtop". It has all but maybe two factory options and stickered out just south of $60K. My lease is up next summer, and I was seriously leaning towards getting a new Z4, and perhaps driving a used "practical" car for the winter months. Equipped the way I'd like, the Z4 will cost very close to what my 335i vert cost. I need to spend less money each month on my car "habit". Those prices are just nuts. Looks like I will be giving the 135i vert a much closer look now. (either that or get a nicely equipped, supercharged Miata). {hey - don't laugh if you never drove one!}Doug

Or wait a couple of years and get a Z2......hopefully; everything I'm reading indicates it will be a reality.

Wow, I'd have to pay MORE for a Z4 sDrive 30i than the Z4 M Coupe that I special-ordered
