E39 (1997 - 2003)

Mein Auto: 540i 6
vacuum what should it ba at idle and at any rpm

Im testing at the fuel pressure regulater


then on the Idle air control valva in the front right at the T






but its not a tT fyi

I GOT ERRATIC TESTS AT FIRST THEN THE TESTER BROKE STUCK AT 10 using retarted calculation

idle was about 19 steady....acceleration,it kept its same pressure
fast revving ..it drops to 0 fasr then back to same 19
test was .......parked..not driving
im doing it again

Measure the fuel pressure at speed. S/b 50 psi+ at all times.

Mein Auto: 540i 6
it idles at 42 and stays at 50 always,even at full thrttle breaking up bogging and sputtering.

When i rev it fast,it shoots to zero for a split second once.

rev rev revvvvv it stays at 50

key on it shot to 100 once but never again after an hour of testing

100 at the pump now also,

im wondering where its getting stepped down

key offit stays at 42 and dont dissipate,after idling and shut off stays 42.key on

back to 50..

tested vaccuum everywhere 18-19psi
