Missing jack pads & wind noise have been such a common problem (across several BMW models)...so much so that there is a BMW TIS document about it.![]() As Cereall already explained the locatioin of the "A" pillar (the part of the car that supports the roof that's between the windshield & front door)...the successive B, C, D pillars are aptly named as you move toward the rear of the car. The "B" pillar is the roof support between the front & rear doors, the "C" pillar is the support between the rear door & rear windshield, and the "D" pillar would be the support between the rear cargo window & tail gate on the Touring. This nomenclature continues on in larger vehicles (like a extended limo, van, or bus etc). BTW...jack pads, what they look like, and their location has been oft discussed and info is easy to find by typing "jack pads" in the search link. Our forum member (Bluebee) has posted great pics of them and their location (along with others)...but Bluebee's are some of my favorite pics...see some of them below and click this link for her write up w/pics on how to install them: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=31
