New X5

What's up? I am new to the forum and I am in the market for a SUV. I like the look of the X5, but I was wondering when it will get redesigned? I also looked at the M-class, but I read that its redesign is less than a year away. Does anyone know anything about when the current X5 will change? I have read about a minor facelift, but I am more concerned with greater change. Thanks.

Best look else where for the trendiest design. BMW will not upgrade the current X5 (other than minor facelifting) for another 2-3 years.

Just to clarify, I am not looking for the trendiest design. I like the look of the X5, and I am considering buy one and I did not want to spend 40 or 50 grand on a SUV and in a year have it looked outdated like I think the M-class will. Sorry if I sound defensive. I appreciate your input, and 2-3 years off is good enough for me. I will hopefully be adding an X5 to the garage soon. Thanks.

The rumor mill has the 04 X5 with the facelift and powertrain update. Wait until this fall and you should be set for 2-3 years.

BMW has released 2004 allocations and ordering guides, but we have not received any official 2004 X5 news. If they were planning nothing other than equipment changes, we would have heard by now. This almost definately verifies that there will be something more significant in the works.
