Driver's side window control

I'm new here so, I hope I'm doing this correctly. I have an issue that I can not figure out. My 2005 Z4 is having issues with the window controls. I'll attempt to give as much information as I can. The passenger side window control works at all times. The driver's side only works with the key in the ACC position. When the car is running, or just in the ON position, the widows (either of them) can not be controlled from the driver's side. The passenger can still put his window up or down. Also, when driving, the driver can stop the passenger from raising or lowering his window by trying to open or close the passenger window. This will only lock out the passenger's switch, not control the window. I'm in the military and have to show an ID when going through the gate. So, I shift into neutral (while still driving), turn the engine off, put the window down, and restart the car. When I do this, the window will continue to go down even after I switch the car back on. So, I'm guessing it's a relay prior to the switch, but have no idea where to look.

Also: the windows work correctly when putting the top up or down with the key and also work correctly when opening or closing the doors.

Go to https://www.bmwgm5.com/GM5_Repair_Service.htm and send an email to Scott and he may be able to tell you if it's related to the gm5 module. He helped me out.

Read his website and just send him the info he requests. Good luck.
