reflection from the mid-west
I have had my 81- 320i for a few months now. I was really attracted to the simplicity and the craftmanship of the 79-83 years. Over the months I have managed to make some repairs that went unattended to by previous owners. I need to replace the thermal temperature switch and the heater control base plate (both of which I am searching for) and a clutch will need to be replaced in the near future. I became frustrated for a short while as I learned the nuances of parts and yard dealers and the difficulty in getting parts at times. Forfunately I have a good mechanic who has been awesome! We have a dealer and 3 other sources for repairs in this area which I think is amazing really. I have my preference which will go unamed now. The bottom line is that through it all, I have leanrned to embrace the process and I still enjoy my ride, still enjoy the simple, clean lines inside and out. Long live the E-21's!!!
