Help me find vacuum hose diagram
The Middle intake tube has F piping on it.
The top hose is good, but bottom is disconnected. From the looks of it, it goes toward dipstick tube area. Where does this hose go? _________ (connected) l l l________ (disconnected). where does this hose lead to? it seems like it's going near the dipstick tube area. l l l Last edited by Latoilette; 04-13-2009 at 12:56 PM. |

off the top of my head and with no background information search, i am fairly certain that one of those hoses goes to the fuel filter...

I can't see this image; I'm at work . . . If this isn't it, look through these: http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E4...browse/engine/

I didn't break the F thing. But the hose attached to it is broken and i can't attach it back to the F-tube b/c hoses are brittle.

I think that would be number 6 in the diagram. Mine broke too. http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E4...ontrol_engine/

it cant be No. 6 because this piece is actually shaped just like an upper case F.
I just thought if you knew the p/n of the F tube it would help you track down the vacuums associated with it.

I am thinking vapors from the fuel filter gets released into the throttle body? Interesting design. anyone knows the size of this hose?

the rubber part is general sized vacuum hose the size is standardized so if you ask for "vacuum hose" it will be a direct replacement. However, the rubber vacuum hose accepts a smaller diameter plastic line that (i think) leads from the fuel filter.
Im sure that the fuel filter vapors do not enter the intake manifold as this air would have contaminants and enters the intake boot after the air filter, it would also be highly combustible, but the line could create a suction created by the intake system within the fuel filter to help deliver fuel to the fuel rail Possible alleviate stress on the fuel pump?

i have an unrelated question in one of the diagrams you posted smolck. in the valves/pipes of fuel injection system diagram is bolt number 7 the one of four bolts that fasten the fuel rail to the manifold? I lost one of them while removing the fuel rail and need to order another one from tischer. thanks
