parking brake trouble, help!
Took my 91 320i in for some minor services. One of the jobs was to adjust the parking brake. I am in the military so I used one of the auto skill shops on post (mistake I guess). Somehow I cannot figure out, the guy messed up my parking brake lever. The release button pops out now. It has a hook on it about 6 inches long that is supposed to hook to something I guess but I cannot see where because of the angle and tight spacing. Now I cannot engage the brake. I can lift it and it will hold but it will not stay engaged, the handle can't stay up.
Any one out there that can give me a clue?

Remove the handle cover and then the leather boot, will be able to see all the internals.
