Anyone try them on their car? Does it give out an error code? It looks like all of the new 3 sereies has them now...

I have THESE LED bulbs that I got from e92-lighting. I am very pleased. They look great & match the HID headlight color temp pretty well.

About 10% of the time, it'll give me a "Left license plate lamp warning", but it only lasts for about 4 seconds.

Cheers,

/John

PS: There were some early complaints, but I have nothing but praise for e92-lighting. They were super responsive (multiple emails to ensure I ordered the correct bulb) and the bulbs were promptly mailed.

From majority of those who installed it, it does flag on the computer but temporarily. Usualy disapeares within 30seconds.

There is not light if the error code is displayed while driving.

all the error code is that it will show up under your tach for like 4 seconds or something, and then it will stop being displayed but if you go into iDrive and check under the vehicle BC and look at the section that says check it will still show up there.....no real biggie cuz thank god at least it does not stay on constantly on your dashboard and you gotta stare at it all the time

for the price and the outcome i highly recommend it

Hmm, I must be lucky, or the newer versions of the lights have compensated for that. I get a light failure warning for a few seconds, and then it's gone; gone from the iDrive menu as well.

I don't think I'd keep them if the yellow car symbol in iDrive was always on...that would bug me. Of course, I'm a pilot, and pilots have a hard-on for warning lights, status lights, function lights, instrument lights, landing lights, flashlights, and blinking lights .

You're amazing..or pehaps it's the bulbs ..The leds I used gave me an error code that came up intermittently. They would light when there was no error code.

Ok, admitted noob here, but my '04 745i is giving me the malf. message. I can tap on the lights and they will come back on only to go off again soon. Are we all saying I can order aftermarket cool looking replacements?? Fix this myself without giving $100 to BMW?? Who sells the best bulbs that don't cause continued error message?

LED bulbs do normally bring up an error due to low voltage !
