Having problems W/windshield wipers(weird)

Normally when you go to swipe the windshield one time(down on the stick) it should swipe once and return to its normal posistion, OFF. Mine just keeps going and going, it wont stop even cycleing through the other speeds, the only way to stop it is to catch it in its down posistion and turn the car off then it resets itself. Very P-oed right now, any help would be great, Thanks, Scott.

Just a hunch Scott, but I'd say that a contact is hanging up inside the switch (1st place to look in any case).

If you can "disect" the switch without doing any damage, you'll be able to isloate if it's the switch or a "plc" problem.

Either way, there will be some disassembly or a trip to the dealer invloved, depending on how comfortable you are with taking your car apart.

See the following pic. There is a park switch within the motor.
My guess is the wiper/washer module. 61 35 8 366 381 $74.25 retail. You could also replace it with the programmable Euro one 61 35 8 349 474 $74.25 retail.
I have a 381 one from my '01 m coupe that I will sell for $45.00 plus shipping.
The wiper module is behind the glove box.
