BMW 320i 2009 facelift

Hello there. Just got a beemer and so happy with it , It just I was told that it has a buit in Navigation system and Only Needs a maps DVD to operate, and My agent is providing me with misleading Data ,, Can anyone verfy this DATA to me please

before bmw implemented CIC idrive, it was dvd based.
