OK, mine's in the bodyshop. Here are a couple of pictures of the teardown. The damage doesn't really look that bad in the pictures, but it's a mess in person.
One good point in all of this is that I get a new front bumper cover sans rock chips, and the bodyshop even agreed to put an ///M bumper cover on. I know my little 2.5 liter Z4 is no ///M car, but I love the way the ///M front end looks.

Gotta love those shots of the car all filleted apart! I'm glad it all worked out for you. Thanks for the kind words regarding my mishap with my 325i.

Hey it's a lot easier to escape CA without tickets than WA, you should know that!
I hear you on Oregon. Best keep it quiet there, ever since you caused them to rethink their speeding penalties a couple years ago

Thanks. Glad to hear that yours made it back home too. (I was really getting tired of driving the Sequoia. I love the truck, but it's not anything like driving the Bimmer.)

How much did you spend at Bimmerfest
Wow great poll, Ive always wondered how much everyone else is spending.
I myself dont WC, but last time I made what Ill call an alpha parts list, it came to around 300 bucks NOTE: I didnt vote since I dont WC Right now, I have kept that 300 figure in my head, and that number is WAY to high for me. Anyway, I think Ill try making a new alpha parts list, and see how much I come to. |
