Boston Bruins to retire Cam Neely's Number

Cam certainly brings back memories of what the Bruins were in the mid-80's (and early 90's). I started following the B's more closely in the early 80's but once Cam became part of the bunch I was hooked! I have so many fond memories of him on the ice. I vividly remember one of his "comeback" years in 1993-1994 when he scored 50 goals in just 44 games. Simply an amasing player on and off of the ice! Way to go number 8!

Cam Neely

Well, it's about time. Why did I think his number was already retired?

Cam Neely
The Cam Neely for Barry Pederson trade may have been the best in Bruin history. (definitely the worst in Vancouver history!)

How's about Joe Thornton for Brendan Morrison to even things out?

Nah! I'm thinking a P.J Axelsson for someone ... not necessarily from Vancouver though.

Yeah.

But even with Fat Teddy picking up $5M/year of Jagr's contract, can anyone see Sinden paying the $6M balance? (And did anyone every figure out the reasoning behind Lapointe's contract? )
