Re: Angel Eyes

Can someone point me to the right direction of fixing my angel eyes to be on while driving?
I turned it to Auto mode (all the way to the left on the switch), and it does not turn on while driving during day time. At night time, it's on w/ the headlight. It was always on since i bought the car in 07 until a few weeks ago. I don't think i did anything to make it turn off. I have Premium, SP, and Nav if that helps.
thank you.

Have you tried going through iDrive to see if you disabled the DRL?

It would be nice to have the angel eyes on instead of the DRLs in auto mode

I honestly have no idea. I do have lights that turn on but they don't look like halo's to me. I could be wrong. What I would like are the halo's to be on always, not the center lights. Maybe i'm just confused

For the auto-DRL feature to work I believe you have to keep your light switch on auto-lights at all times. If it is off, it overrides the auto-DRL on setting.

You can set this through iDrive or the turn signal stalk (see your manual), unless the turn-signal stalk setting is new for 09 (unsure). Either way, the light switch has to be set to auto for DRLs to run when the car is on.

This is all dependent on the model and year. On my 08 335i e90 you cannot have the AEs as DRLs, I believe only the e92 & e93 do this. You also do not have to have the lights on Auto for the low intensity DRLs to be active, you do have to have DRL activated in iDrive or via the stalk.

If your car is the older E90 without the factory feature that has them on all the time, you can go with our Dos Daytime Angel Eye Harness that enables the angel eyes to be on whenever the vehicle is on.

Picture looks good. larger is sometimes better. But to make it small take it to MS Paint and go to image/size and change the vertical and horizontal percentage by an equal amount (e.g. change from 100% to 75%) and do a save as.

Thank you all for your comment. It works now.

I go into Idrive and check the box "daytime running light (drl)" under vehicle/tire.

I can turn it on everytime i drive too, but since it does not turn off by itself, I think, i don't want to risk on the battery's life.
It's cool to have your angel eyes on, i guess. people look at the car most of the time. lol
forgot to mention that i have a coupe.

My sig shows the LCI AEs used as DRLs. The item that JLEVI is advertising is the adapter I referenced earlier. Againb, pre LCI does not use AEs as DRLs. The inner lights turn on. As a matter of fact the Halogen LCI lights I think are still the same as well. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

BUT wait! Act now and you can get a second set for ONLY 99.99!!!
