2009 Z4 or 2011 330i

Like most people on this forum, I think about cars a lot. Totally in love with my 2006 325i 6 speed (original owner). I've been interested in the 2009 Z4 sDrive30 6 speed (blue metallic with white nappa leather). But I already have a 2006 Mazda Miata MX5 in my household, so two convertibles and the e90 as a dedicated track car with the interior gutted isn't the most practical stable. Perhaps I should just hold out for the next gen 3 series. Thoughts? Opinions?

We are going into a depression (or a double recession that takes out a decade of American history), and let's consider that a factor, FWIW.

Guess it depends what you wanna do with the '11 3er. If you're gonna get a stripper again then you're not really getting anywhere in terms of additional utility
Besides it might be ugly?

Btw, when you mean '11 330i, are they bringing back the '06 330i engine as the "lower" power train?

I say wait: the new Z4 is sexy imo, but I never know when I need to play [fast] taxi for someone...

westwest, for you, honestly, I'm not sure you're going to like the new Z. I will be very curious to read your review of it. If you were to buy a Z, I think you'd be happier in a late model E85/E86. The next new 3er will not be out until MY 2013 (possibly in the spring of 2012), unless BMW forgoes their normal 7 year cycle and brings it out early and I don't see any reason they would do that.

I saw the new Z4 at Bimmerfest, and it's a pretty nice looking car! But if you already have the Miata, maybe, like others said, a 3 series ED is in your future
