At exactly 700 miles on the odometer, I started my car and was greeted with the "gong" and a turn signal malfunction on the display. I thought, "Odd...those are a cluster of LED's and the right turn signal worked 30 seconds ago." I then drove the car for a few minutes, stopped and shut down the engine, and got out and locked the car. I unlocked it, got back in and started the engine and everything works again. I giggled. For some reason, I find these BMW idiosyncrasies endearing.

Mine told me right after I started my car with the key in my pocket that the key had suddenly left the car. Of course it turned off about 10 seconds later, but I had to smile a bit myself.

Gotta love the techs...

These on board computers are like drunken sailors the day after... they're pretty groggy when you wake them up. Most of the time, they manage to get standing up with their pants on. Other times...

There are other threads out there regarding the HD radios without nav. Every so often you fire up the car, the computer doesn't boot correctly, and no audio is available. Get out, shut it down, turn three times waving a chicken above your head, get back in, fire it all up, and it all works.

P.S. I'm joking about the chicken part.

Lol! Hey! I didn't say you were one of the drunken kind!

My uncle was a sailor in WWII. The only pictures I own of him... he always had his pants on.
