I just installed a Yoshimura TRC slip on exhuast. I will be cutting the cat off as soon as I buy the power commander for it.

I also changed the stock tires to Michilen Piot Powers, which are excellent tires.

Other than that the bike is pretty much stock, performance wise.

Cosmetically, i just got some rim tape in blue. Shogun no cut sliders kit and I will be getting HIDs this weekend for it.

Most people here in L.A. just wear the jackets with Jeans. Very rarely do I see someone in a full suit...

Yeah, legs are overrated.


My suit's hard knee went through this van's headlight and punctured its radiator. With just jeans, I wouldn't have a knee.



My wife even has full gear to ride on the back of my bike.

I bought a new bike while I was still on crutches. I had a handicapped placard for a month too... so I could park my bike in handicapped spots .

Good gear is not cheap. My enjoyment for riding went up a lot when I had several choices (aka: a wardrobe) of gear built up to pick from, based on what and where and when I was riding.

I have a one-piece oversuit to wear to and from work (Aerostich Kris mentioned), Vanson leathers for the track, and a 2-piece textile suit for hot summer days. And heated gear. And a one-piece rain oversuit. And 3 different pairs of gloves, 2 pair of boots, 3 helmets, etc. etc. I am sure there is more I am forgetting.

Yep. I've got heated gear, hippo hands, etc.

With an Olympia suit like the one I mentioned, you'd be comfortable in 80-90% of the time in LA though .

Damn...I think it would be hard to get back on a bike after that.

An impact with a minivan.



I was on a one-lane (but two direction) road (about 4 miles from here), came around a left hand blind corner, and there was a minivan in my "half" of the road. CHP ruled it no-fault. We were both probably going about 20-25. With more experience it wouldn't have happened, for sure.

I asked a buddy of mine that I ride with a lot, "why does it seem like I'm leaning over farther than you are? Is it due to my bike's center of gravity being higher?"

He replied, "uh, no dude, you just waaay late apex."

I hadn't even realized that my riding had completely changed after the crash. I'll wait until the last second and then throw the bike down into the corner... allowing me to see further through it before committing. This slows me down a *bit*, but it is of course the safer way through.

EVERYTIME i ride i ride with at least jeans(if not the padded riding jeans), boots, Gloves, jacket and helmet.

I have yet to do track days as well, but i am aiming for that to change this summer.

I am also very big on gear. Its crazy seeing the amount of people who ride with shorts and a t-shirt.

I actually took the gear pic when i was thinking about selling my bike which i was including with it.

Have you ever heard of padded jeans? They are riding pants.
I dont do hours and hours of riding mainly because i dont have a group to ride with out here. I really dont get as much riding as i would like to.
Point is that i gear up, i guess with the exception of "leather" riding pants.

I have a pair of Draggin Jeans. Supposedly they are much better than regular jeans... but they don't really look or fit like jeans though, so I really don't ever wear them. I am in the market for a pair of breathable overpants like these airglides.
