Trunk wiring/tail lights chaos

Today I had to buy a new right side tail light assembly $350 new connector and wires $20 seems pretty straight forward and should have been my first route. Found out on here that it is a common problem with this model...connector gets corroded and probkems start. My advice do not try to clean the rust or any temp fix if its not just a temp fix...I tried that allong with splicing the remaing wires.. not only do the lights not work well , but my key transponder doesnt work...guess fuses are gone...now gonna replace the tail light with new connector and foot long wires that came with plugs pre attached. Love my car but its one problem after another. But nothing beats a beast.
