E30 M3 at Laguna Seca

Hi All -

While at the SCCA races this past weekend, got to spend a lot of time in the Paddock with Bill Arnold (of Bill Arnold BMW Repair in San Rafael). He seemed to always be ready to save the day in the pits with his arsenal of spare parts.

He was there racing Tammi Hull's e30 M3. Here he is in the corkscrew (pic by HACK)

I noticed in the paddock (and visible in this shot) the straps bolted across the sunroof. I don't think that's required, but I didn't ask him about them.

He's running Michelins in that shot (qualifying), but he was going to put on Hoosier DOT R compounds for the race.
