15K Price Point?
In the past, say 3-4 years ago, E30 M3's were either bought in good condition for around $15K, or if the car was bought for $9K, it would take another $6K to make the car look and drive well. Prices on E30 M3's are coming down and supply is going up (cacktusjacks said there are currently 10 on eBay). Do you folks feel values will return to the $15K price point for a good car?

With the economy the way it is, it isn't helping prices, but E30 m3 prices are not being crushed as much as other cars. OTOH, people with ratty cars are seeing the $30+ asking prices of the pristine examples so they think that their car must be worth that much. I still think the majority of the E30 M3 market is not in touch with reality.

I'm looking at three nice examples with prices ranging from $17.5K - $22.5K. I'll post back if I move on any of them.

An S50 B32 is a better swap. :-) If I were to do it again, I would swap in an S54. |

![]() IIRC, Treehouse had two B32's for sale - those headers alone are a piece of art. However, I am on a budget and revisiting the possibility of installing an S52 in my wife's 91 325 and relegating the Sienna as her exclusive mode of transpo. A plain jane E30 is the ultimate sleeper

An S52 is definitely cheaper.
