Break-in fun

Picked up my 335 coupe yesterday. Now 300kms later, can't wipe the smile
off my face! I have spent 2 afternoons cruising country roads so I can
vary the rpm constantly. Even gentle exceleration up to 4400 rpm elicits
an incredible sense of power and sure-footedness.

To think that the torque band runs up to 5800rpm or so is
awe inspiring to say the least. much more to explore with this
beauty.

So life is good! where is a picture of this spectacular bimmer?

Months later, with my lowly 328i, I still marvel... I still look forward to every drive. The world has compressed... destinations arrive too quickly...

I am still glad I didn't test drive the 335i...I am sure I just couldn't have bought the 328i after I test drove the 300 ft-lbs monster. And since it was outside my realm of financial means, why hurt myself?

I hate new cars because of the break in period. Of course, the thrill of the new car offsets the humbug of break in. I also don't like new cars because I feel I have to drive it 2 years to wear out the tires somewhat before I can change the tires. At year 2, I really like a new car.

Shoot... My car is about to be 10 years old and I still find her fun to drive... Even with all the squeaks and rattles! =] I love my baby!

Still working on the break in! Hard to keep 'er under 4500rpm though.

I also love driving 335i's. I'm used to a modded E36 M3, so naturally the E90/92 platform feels like a cruise ship on school bus suspension to me, but when I look past that the N54 is freak nasty sex power.

yep - that was my mistake - I drove a 335 and then a 328 and a CLK350 - all nice cars, but once you have been intoxicated, nothing else will do....

Same here I wanted a 328 then ended up with a 335 but dam glad I did it!!!!

the 328i is a beautiful ride. no need to torture yourself. most mortals don't get the opportunity to know 335i's real potential anyway
