If you're a mature person, can afford it, and have respect for the car and other drivers, there's no reason why a 20 year old can't have an M3. I bought the M5 when I was 18...

Why not, I had a 750iL E38 when I was 18. You can if you can...but be responsible

Absolutely not. It is a self-limiting system. If you are an idiot, you will quickly become the owner of a crumpled M3 and thus undriveable and uninsurable. If you are not an idiot, you will have a rewarding drive that gets better with time as you get to know its limits.

If you (and not your father) can afford it and if you are a mature driver, then I say do it... now...

BTW xrated335, love your sig's pic and quote! (Not that I agree with it) Top Gear is awesome.

Thanks. It was taken at a track day at New Hampshire. This was taken just before a very late apex!

If you haven't tracked your "M", I can thoroughly recommend it!

They really kill you on insurance if your young in California. I don't know about Texas though? But if you have the money then go for it. I am only 22 but I have a 07 335 coupe and a 330i sedan and love them both.

No, you can legally drive one when you're 16, or 15 1/2 if you have a permit and a licensed driver riding with you.

Soon, we won't have to worry about driving a buick either.
