Celebrating the X6
I read most of the threads on here and their comments on the X6 - but I'd like to take a moment to say how much I enjoy mine.
My lease on my old car ended, and I started looking for a crossover or SUV. I didn't want a "me too" car - and to me, the X5 is just that. There are dozens of them everywhere, on the road, in parking lots - everywhere! In my opinion, the X5 looks like the rest of the SUV jungle, basically like a Ford Explorer. I love my X6 because of its distinctive style. I love the interior and the knee pads on the center console. I love the back seat with the center console. My guests who ride back there just love it. I don't need a lot of hauling space - but I do need to sit higher in traffic than the typical sedan. The X6 provides this for me - with all the comfort of a sedan, and the visibility to see the road in the SUV/Van/Big Truck traffic that I communte in daily. I do "need" the handling and performance of the X6. I have a 3.5, and I am totally satisfied - in fact, had to set the "Speed Limit" chime because I was shocked to see HOW FAST one can be going in the X6 when the road allows. This is a WONDERFUL car - and I'm proud and happy that I am able to have one Last edited by riccio1; 06-07-2009 at 03:52 PM. Reason: spelling error |

I've had my X6 for less than 24 hours and I am LOVING it. I was at lease-end on my X3, (my second since they came out). I love the way BMWs handle but I didn't want a car and the X5 was too boxy for me. I drove the X6, and although it was a little more than I had planned on spending, it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's as if BMW asked me what kind of car I wanted, and then built it to my specifications. I couldn't be happier. And despite, what some people say, I think it is one of the sexiest cars ever built.

Riccio1, I second your comments. I love everything about the X6 thus far. I am 6-4 and it fits me like a glove. I would change a couple of things but they are minor. I love the heated seats as I have a bad lower back but I really would love to turn the seat pan off.
