Are you a BMW CCA Member?

Just curious how many around here are members and how many aren't?

Currently I am not, have thought about it a few times but currently dont have much I would take advantage of besides the magazine. Years ago I thought about doing it and now wish I had to get the Reward cash back which would have paid for some of the dues, but o well, what do ya do. Hindsight is 20/20 right?

I am and I'm also still a member of the southern California Audi club as well. With BMW CCA, depending on dealers, they offer discounts

And I believe that you have to be a member of BMW CCA in order to get the incentives when you purchase BMWs!

You do to get the reward check from CCA/BMWNA, but not Dealer Incentives and such.

You get discounts on parts (i.e. oil, BMW merchandise, etc) when you're a member, BUT not all places take the discount this is using your BMW CCA membership card!

I've been a member for the past 6 years. A one year membership costs around $45. For this you get a subscription to the Roundel magazine, rebate money on the purchase of most BMW's and other discounts from vendors. I feel the Roundel magazine alone would be worth the annual fee. The $500 received after buying my 335i was a nice bonus.

To receive the rebate you would need to be a member for one year.

Regards,
NHman

One thing to consider with CCA membership is insurance. We have Liberty Mutual on home and our 4 cars. the $45 membership saves you 5% on home and 10% on your cars which for us (3 BMW's one Ford Explorer) saves us about $600 a year. We didn't plan this, just found out after we had joined CCA that we got a discount. I don't know if other insurers offer anything but it's worth checking....

You have to be crazy not to be a member - the benefits are just too good!! The magazine alone is worth the money, not to mention all the other perks and the check you get everytime you buy a BMW!

Happy to be a member. In fact, just renewed for another two years. Love the magazine but more so the $500 rebate after the purchase of my ED E92! The membership has paid for itself 10 fold

I have state farm and get 10%/5% car/home discount because i have those two insured by the same company (package discount). If this is on TOP of that then I would pay the $40/year.

Would someone verify if this discount is on TOP of other discounts?

I'm a happy member and waiting for the $500 return on my $40 investment from my recent lease. You just can't beat that sort of interest can' you?? $40-80 into $500 in just 2 years?!

I would call your agent and see. It's worth the call. We also had a joint discount for home/car as well and the CCA discount was on top of that with Liberty....

So what causes these insurers to give an extra discount? I have USAA. Do you just call and tell them you have BMWCCA membership and see if they offer a discount for it?

I got that thing in the mail about auto insurance through BMW(Libery Mutual). That was the biggest crock of ish. They wanted a yearly premium of $2760 JUST for me (check sig below). Geico is charging me 1080 a year. Phhhh

I originally joined BMWCCA for the reward cash back. I ended up buying a BMW prior to being a member for a year so I wasn't eligable but I'll renew my 2 year subscription so that when my lease is up I'll get the cash back next car around

I think that's the way to go. I just lucked into this by socially seeing our agent at a restaurant and mentioning to her we might be adding another car. She said too bad your not a member of the CCA and I said, "why? because I am."

Got the latest edition yesterday in the mail. Nothing like pulling in the driveway and seeing the baby car in the garage(I dont drive it everyday) then walking to the mailbox finding the Roundel waiting to be opened. Sure beats the hell out opening bills every other day!

Not sure why one would not join. Two of my closest friends have 5ers and neither of them are members.

If you are younger than 25 this is not surprising.

I'm a member as well. Roundel is worth the price of the membership, it's a fantastic magazine! I haven't participated in any activities with the local club yet, but I will start this weekend, looking forward to it.

I joined for two years, but got impatient and bought my 335i before I was a member for a full year. That's my only problem with the rebate. It's a great selling point, but you have to plan ahead and join a full year before you buy. Not cool. I payed for two years, I plan on renewing until I die, but because I got my car a full summer before I've been a member for a year, no rebate. I do plan on buying CPO from now on, but that's not for another 6-9 years down the road.

I'm happy to be a BMWCCA member, just wish I had done it sooner.
