sorry, but $500 over invoice (assume the real one) is verrrrrry normal.... I got mine a few yrs ago for $100 over...same for 7 friends who got theirs between 400-600

You know, I actually had an appointment at BMW NW that same day to order my car. I bumped it to take a drive up to Seattle and see what they had in inventory. In test driving in Seattle that day, we drove by the new site. I think Adam said it's now scheduled to open in July. It's going to be an amazing place! Kind of a bummer that the Fife dealership is a lot closer to me but I will have to go check it out for pure gawking pleasure.

I thought about ED...but summers are too darn short in WA as it is. And I wasn't sure I could part with my new toy and send it off on a boat. Gratefully I didn't have to!

Why do the seats appear gray in the last picture and black in the first two? Is it the same car? Nice convertible though!! Have fun keeping it clean though.

All the same car...just taken from different angles. I think the gray appearance is a product of direct sunlight and a really cheap, crappy camera.

I'm sort of odd that way. Kick butt car with everything I wanted, but seven year old digital camera that I just can't get motivated to replace.

It's nice when you like your dealer. Starting in 1990, I started to buy cars by phone. I'd look at the car and negotiate the price by phone. It's a lot quicker, no long waits at the dealer while the salesman goes back there to do something.

Don't worry if you didn't get the best deal possible. It's just the way life is. Hopefully, nobody will get cheated and pay way over the fair price.

Consider really knowing your car, how it works, how the parts fit together and what those wires or other stuff in the engine are. Maybe even learn to change the oil. The more you know, the better you are dealing with your car.

Retired so young too, lots of time to enjoy life with the top down cruisin' around!

Don't worry about the price now, it's a sunk cost, you're happy with it, you're happy with your car, that's all that matters

Gentlemen, to be honest, cost is the furthest thing from my mind!

I absolutely LOVE getting into this vehicle. My son (he's 11, going on 30) LOVES the L7!

I agree, as a Seattle Native, the summers are way too short here, no way I'd leave during one. That's why we did Euro delivery in April. Weather was perfect over there (mid to upper 60s the whole trip, only one day of rain in 18).

Cool beans about the new center opening in July, looks like I'll do all my service there.

BMW Seattle has an exclusive event for BMWCCA members at the new facility in August. I signed up.

Iono I think I get my sun-sensitive eyes from my dad, I can't stand driving without my Maui Jims, even with only moderate sun

Back when I was looking, I went to the 3 dealerships around here. I bought from BMW Seattle. Good to hear they still deal. The worst of the bunch was the dealer on the eastside. congrats.

Those sunglasses are also Maui Jims. I'm originally from Hawaii. I live in sunglasses!

I think I'm starting to get a tan line around my sunglasses from the last few days of driving. So anyone who lives in the Puget Sound area will be able to pick me out in a sec. I'll be the one with the top down and the radio blasting!
