Saw a live one today.
Wow. It is a beautiful car. This one was a very dark blue color. I rolled up next to it on my Biarritz Blue RT and we were similar shades.

Just saw one live at the dealership in sliver. All I can say is STUNNING! By far the sexiest BMW I've ever seen. |

I had to go to Anchorage today so I stopped by the BMW dealer to show our CA pic's from last months visit to die Welt und München. As fate would have it they had a Z4 3.0 6mt sittimg front and center. The CA knowing my tastes asked if I had time for a trip around the block................I'm in LOVE.
The older Z4 was (is) unsettled when you get on rutted pavement, BMW must of changed the wheel track slightly, this years handles bad roads like my wifes 335. |

I seriously believe that BMW simply didn't tune the suspension of the previous Z4 for run-flats - the new Z4 gets the trickle-down benefits of the work they did for the E90 3-series.

Randy, which engine/ tranny combo is this?

It's designation is S-Drive 35i, so 3.0 Ltr 300 hp/300 Nm twin-turbo charged direct injection aluminum block/DOHC head (4 vlv/cyl) withthe DCT 7-speed double-clutch transmission.
I could see no fault with that combination, it was a joy to operate under all conditions encountered. I only let the engine rev to 4500 once (through a curve) otherwise barely seeing 4000 RPM. Having the same engine in a 5 Series, I can guarantee what a treat it will be when broken in. I would've loved to let the program shift itself from a controlled full throttle launch (launch control is part of the xmsn, with limitations & caveats).

So, what might they do for the ///M version?
And don't tell me they only do ///M versions for the X series these days.....

It would be a let down to put the new M3V8 (414hp) in there, as a little bit of software will kick the twin turbo I6 to over 400hp. I drove Al's 135 with Dinan STGII software, and it will give you whiplash.
