Anyone ever notice this?

In the various booklets that come with the X3 has anyone look closely at the photos? There's a few things that are different on the pre-production than on our X3s.

In the Driver reference guide on the second page, the vents have an extra trim piece on them. The headlamp switch has an extra mode past the automatic mode. I have also seen in one of the books (I can't find it now), there's a little red light in front of the cup holder. I also remember seeing somewhere the X3 having dual climate, but I think that was on the web somewhere. Anyone else notice these?

If you're referring to the chrome-like strip on the vent levers then yes, I have them on mine.

I haven't seen the other items you mentioned but the dual climate control have been part of discussions in other threads ...hopefully to be an option on the new X3.

No, not those little chrome bits, this:

look around the vents, you will see a panel line

Aah, I see what you mean. Nope, never seen that on an X3. Maby they simplified the vent panel to cut cost. But it looks nice though...

I like the grey combinations in the picture. Did'nt know the steering panel is available in something other than black.

In pre-production, they changed a few things unfortunately. It looked really great. If my grey interior looked like that, I wouldn't mind it so much.

For some strange reason on all of my cars of late (and this includes 2 X3s) I've been ending up with black int. Black leather, black dash, black carpets, black roof liner, black trimmings, all black inside (sounds like a Kiwi choice ...lol). Even the wood trimmings have been dark coloured. Don't get me wrong, it looks great and is quite easy to keep clean. But I notice other int colour combinations, other than black, to stand out and catch my eye. I think maby it's time for change here

I have the gray/aluminium interior trim, but alas, no sport steering wheel. Or 3-pedals

There can't be a mode to the left of Automatic for the headlamp control. There may be a second scroll-wheel to the right of the instrument panel lighting dial for headlamp adjustment, and a second button for the rear foglamps, but that's about it.
