E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993. |

Hi
I've got an '86 325es that the previous owner dropped what looks like 3" and I'm getting a lot of inner tire wear with all the negative camber. I think I could buy new coils and make it back to stock and fix the problem, but I considered a camber kit to put the tires in alignment. the local tire shop says they can't get one made for my car. Anyone know where to get one? Or advice for best ride, drop vs. stock? Thanks |

With that much of a drop I'm guessing you will always have a camber issue. There are camber correction kits out there but i'm not sure if they can fix that much. Pictures from the rear, I would like to see how much camber a 3" drop gives you. What is your suspension set up? I would go with H&R sport springs with Bilstein Sport shocks and strut inserts.

Here you can see how much camber there is. And the tire wear one sustained.

nothing you can do about it on the e30 unfortunately, except raise it back up. best to just by new tyres, or keep rotating them, putting the front wheels on the back and the backs on the front periodically, say, every month or two

that camber is pretty bad, ive tucked my early model and not had that much camber. check your bushings and all supporting parts.

you didnt ask for me to put some up, but i have a few here from ages ago. i usually only put the springs in for special occassions because its a bitch to get in driveways and things in day to day use with only 60mm clearance or so haha
the first is a standard height E30 (my parts car before it got dismanteld) and Ethrty with the superlows in. the second is the super low springs with the hartge wheels offset 20 i think. the second one doesnt help you.. just for sh*ts and giggles

/\/\/\/\ i couldnt drive with a car that low. the speed bumps in the areas i lived would high center that in mere seconds. but it looks good.
