I've got an alpine white 04 M3 w/ upgrades...I'm 20, had it for awhile...no tickets...probably because I purchase w/ my personal moola...
I say get it if you can handle it....that means being superchill, even when you wanna burn rubber infront of the youth...

19 year olds are morons, putting them in a 333 hp car is just stupid. and thier parents are a waste of protoplasm.

19 is too young. My very loving but stupid dad gave me a Porsche 911 when I was 18 and I am very very lucky to still be alive today. It is a scientific fact that the male brain up to the age of 25 has a diminished perception of risk and will do stupid things it later can not explain why. I think we all know this scenario: How could you have done something sooo stupid??? (Answer) I do not know.
When driving a very powerful car at a young age it normally ends up in a bad accident or hopefully with a bit of luck a very steep learning curve for the young driver.
Driving a less powerful car still might end up in an accident but the speed of impact is will be most likely less.

I'm 19 and just picked up a 2000 328Ci with a 100k, if that puts an bearing on the subject. Money was not the issue, it was more out of respect for....something, lol I donít know.

My dad got his 2006 M3 when he was 45, after years of being a boss and making cashflow. So there was no way in hell he was going to let me hop into a car like that without working for it

Youíre lucky you can get one now so I'd say DO IT! And be careful about maintenance costs like everyone else said

Just got one

Just got one a week ago and im 18. As long as you can handle all that power and torque RESPONSIBLY a m3 is a great privilege to own at this age. Don't unleash that beast the first day just take it easy the first few days and learn the car. I've owned mine for a week and I still haven't turned off the DSC, I'm going to take it to a empty parking lot in a few days with NO POLES and unleash the BEAST because I have to replace the rear tires!!))))))

Good Luck with yours and I know you'll love it.

alright....im 19 years old I purchased my 02 m3 when i turned 18 and yes its fast but i never feel its too much or hard to handle. thats why i love the M3 so much because its so calm when just driving throughout town, but when you get on it, its GREAT. I say go for it but its up to you how you drive it! realistically you will drive it hard sometimes which you should. anybody who owns an m3 and doesnt is in the wrong game. but i have 4 tickets 3 from when i drove a truck when i was 15 and only 1 in the m "was 20 mins late to friends funeral". there will be repairs there will be the want to mod and there might be a ticket or two. but you only live once......get it man. and disregard what some of them say (didnt read past first page...srry if you made some points) -Keaton
