iPhone OS 3.0 and iDrive/6FL
Hey guys,
Last night, I installed iPhone OS 3.0 on my iPod Touch 2G. Now, when I plug it into my 6FL cable, the iPod just says "Accessory Attached" and nothing shows up on the iDrive screen when I select AUX. I've tried keeping it connected for a long time (to see if it needed to index all the songs first), and I tried restarting the iTouch many times. Anyone else seeing an issue with the new iPhone OS 3.0, and their 6FL with or even without iDrive? My car is a 2008 E92 335i with the wastegate fix and the latest ECU software as of May 2009. Thanks.

Try the network reset..settings..general..scroll to bottom..reset..network settings. If no joy, tap reset all.
I had to 'Restore' my iphone..ie reload ithe '3' os to function properly. Cheers

No new problems here. The behavior seems no better (still not charging regularly) and no worse than 2.x.

I confirmed this morning that the iPhone (iPod Touch?) 3.0 OS + 1st Gen iPod Touch works with my '07 iDrive+6FL, but i forgot to notice if its charging! bleh. I will check after work. OS 1.0 did not charge, OS 2.0 did.

Just an update that I got it to work with my iPod Touch 2nd Gen.
Had to restore the OS, and then when it asked if I wanted to restore from backup or make it a new iPod. I told it to make it a new iPod, resynced all my music, and it just worked.  I have an iPhone 3GS now, though, and it works fairly well too.
