Today I noticed that when i turned off my car and opened my door there was a clicking sound that lasted about 4-5 seconds and seemed to be emanating from underneath the car. This happened about 2-3 times . Later on when I turned on the car, the yellow 4x4 light was illuminated and hasn't turned off since. I have an '06 automatic with around 71,000 miles. Any ideas what may be going on?

Is it possible that you are hearing the hydraulic flap in the tailpipe? The purpose of the flap is to maintain back pressure at lower RPM's, and then it opens up at higher RPM's.
Just a thought.

4x4 indicator
So, after a week with the dsc 4x4 light continuously illuminated, I took it into my local dealer. After checking things over, the dsc module needs replacing. Fortunately for me my SA offered to do the repairs for free as a good faith warranty service since we have purchased 2 cars from the dealership. He was able to do this because I was under 75,000 miles and it was a one time deal only. Good enough for me! Just wanted to share that with everyone, who knows, it might help one of you someday.
