BMW unveils 7-Series M Sport

With a raft of extra kit, the 7-Series M Sport features a new aerodynamic body kit with chunkier front and rear bumpers, chrome headlights and 19-inch alloy wheels, whilst inside brushed aluminium trim, sports seats and M Sport steering wheel differentiates the M Sport from standard models.

Prices for the new M Sport kit ...are yet to be announced, but should be available closer to its launch this September.

How perfect that this is to come out a few days after I pickup at the welt!

OK, on second thought maybe I'm not that interested. The front looks great, but what is going on in the rear? Why all that chrome?

That car is sitting too high for a "sport" version, and I prefer the style 252 wheels to those.

The aluminum trim inside isn't my taste either, but maybe that can be substituted on order?

The rear looks very much Lexus LS430-ish....

Not sure about Lexus-ish, but I think they should have called this package a "Chrome Appearance Package", rather than an M sport package... since when does chrome = sport?

what are these sport seats are they talking about? because the sport seats in the e65 didnt offer cooling and so called massage

i find luxury seats to be much better

and i see in the pictures of these seats that they are not perforated so they do not have a cooling feature

The chrome bumper trim would probably look pretty bad on lighter colors. And aluminum trim in a 7 series just doesn't look right.

But the wheels and the steering wheel look delicious.

i do not like it at all, way to much chrome for a M model. in lighter color cars i think the chrome will be a eyesore. i would rather have piano black wood trim then aluminum.
i rather have the Alpina kit

It's really strange - when I see a side view of the car, it looks smaller than the E65/66. Anyone else feel that way?

Now these photos feature different exhaust tips, and the chrome on the rear looks different. (if even there at all anymore). The car does look dramatically smaller.

That is because the quad pipes come with the 760i and 760li...

Every market is different - Canadian M Sport Package cars will not have the alum. trim for example. Also, some markets will get the 19" with an option to order the 20" wheels. Canada has opted to put the very nice looking 20" rims on all of the M Sport Package cars.

What is going on in this picture? M sport package front bumper without the M sport package wheels. Here the chrome looks like more of a gunmetal color... This is the first picture of the package that looks good IMO.

That is top notch!! if I had to own a 7, this would be it...

The chrome on the bumpers is a deal breaker for me.

I have started to suspect the same thing. It looks very clean though.

I like the idea of possibly taking those peices off and painting them to match the rest of the bumper... not that it really would make any difference for me since I won't have that bumper!
