Mein Auto: 2000 BMW 323i
2000 323i A/C problems..tried multiple diys no fix...any ideas

My a/c on my 2000 323i is going from hot and cold to off, In no certain order, I first replaced the water heater vavle, no fix. I then replaced the final stage resistor, no fix. I checked the R-134a and my gauge says its full and wont take anymore when i try. any ideas on what else could cause this? Im so frustrated

It might be the control unit itself, maybe there is something short circuiting

haha.. wellcome to my world!!... p.s if you r-134 is too full in the heat of the day your systems pressures may become to high in wich case a failsafe automaticly shuts off the compressor. maybe try letting a bit out... also read smolck's Blog ill its helpfull

that could be it cause the gauge shows it extremly full of r134a

it turned out to be the temperature sensor , my dash light showed the outside temperature to be -40 degrees . 84 dollar part
