So started my car that has been sitting for around 2 weeks since snow started to hit the ground. The car started but then sounded as it was about to die( rpms were jumpy)..as expected. Hit the gas a couple times. Idled fine. The first couple minutes the car sounded like it had a 350 small block in it or something, car was shaking and it was loud. Let the car sit a good 15minutes. Then went to rev the car for the heck of it, revv'd to like 2k, maybe 2.5k as the rpm needle was coming down it went down past 500rpms car sounded as if it was about to die, but didnt.. Any ideas what could of caused this?

EDIT: was pretty cold out 18-28 degrees F.

Just for you Matt.
Ed's alive! Hoorah!

What's just for me btw?

And, I tried to install the siren Sama sent me, and it doesn't work

It does when I connect it to the battery, but not where the siren goes. It just has wires, not the connector, so I just shoved the wires in there and hoped it would work just to test.

Also, I have always had my alarm main computer set to siren, not horn, but it used to chirp the horn. A few weeks ago, it stopped chirping the horn, and Idk why, the horn still works, just not with the alarm.

Ideas?

Dammit! Ok if this one dude that seemed interested in the e30 doesn't go through with the car, I think I'm keeping it. I've been starting to get attached to it .

pretty much decided that getting a non m e36 isn't worth it, since I'll basically be spending money to get it up to par with an M.

It'd be cheaper to just get the M, so I'm in the hunt.

This is the main reason I didn't do much in terms of mods to the 325, I knew I would have an ///m soon enough.

Good luck...there is a bunch on the market now.

Makes me glad I did nothing major to the 318. In due time we'll be in the same boat

Lots of replacement parts available from PP and elsewhere. Cheap, even! A new master and slave clutch cylinder set with a new hose was ~ $110 shipped. Many of the body parts are out there, but I wish I had a parts car. My chin spoiler is pretty busted up, and the rear spoiler needs a lot of patching, too. Of course, I only paid $600 for it. I've got that much in the wheels and tires now. Mine has a long way to go before it get's to be a DD.

You can find good E24 DDs for about what an average E36 costs. There's been a long discussion on the BigCoupe Yahoo group about what an E24 costs these days. The really pristine ones bring big money, but most are ~$3000~$5000 for a well cared for but not show quality 6er.
