You MUST have a hub to center the wheel. The lugs will not do it.

Tell me how the hubcentric ring broke on your spacers....did it break off as a ring, or did it split? If it broke off as a ring, it wasn't made correctly. The counterbore inside that fits the OEM hub was bored too deep.

Ken, it broke off as a little ring. Its stuck inside my wheel right now so its safeish structurally. But I was hoping wheel studs would solve it. Oh well. Time to spend another 100 bucks on spacers again...

And I think I'll bump up to 12.5mm. That'll clear the hub for sure, right? (I thought I was sure but now I'm all paranoid ) Im going through TMS now, by the way

I bought Amber a set of 15mm spacers from eBay cheaper than I could buy the material and make them, and they were excellent. They were like $60 shipped.

15mm are like 80 now on ebay. and after this, not sure if I trust ebay stuff. I just found ECS has 12.5mm for 75 bucks. Im gonna go this route I think, ECS has decent customer support if something happens and I think 12.5mm would clear the hub. Says "* Note: Height hub contour up to 11.5mm. Inside wheel bevel = 7.0 x 45 degrees"

Height Hub Contour means how long the hub can be before the spacer bottoms out, right?

Right. You have to have a little angle cut to clear the radius at the shoulder between the hub and flange, and the counterbore in the spacer has to be long enough to accept the factory hubcentric ring on the OEM hub.

Okay. So if these dont fit flush I'm busting out the die grinder and grinding off a mm or two. Thanksies ken!

edit: so then I'd need lugs 50mm thread length long?

Update for CJ: bad news, the spare corners I have are for a sedan. I have some coupe ones on Elvira, but they are in horrible shape...cracked and scratched. I have a set of clears to go on her, but never have swapped them out.

Alright, thanks anyway. I'm still undecided if I want ambers or smoked for my car. I like the ambers but I will probably do all-red tails in the near future, which would probably look bad with the amber corners.

Yes. I had to go to 60mm on the 25mm spacers I made for the 6er.

Wait until you get those contours (if you still are). I went and tried spacers with my bottlecaps then ended up not needing them when I put on the 68s.

They fall out easily when the mounting tab on the headlight is broken.
