Sorry Joe.

You sure you weren't doing it though? It's incredibly easy to go fast in an E39, especially compared to the E36/E30.

Great read!
I'm currently running a hybrid of his street/race alignments, and tire wear is very minimal.

Time to lawyer up. Seriously, even though it will cost money, getting an attorney to reduce your charges/penalties will probably help a lot. If this ticket can affect your employment, I'd get one for sure.

Here in PA, my buddy got a ticket for speeding, racing, and avoiding the police, all in one night.

He got a lawyer and received ZERO points.

Crazy stuff.

Yeah, every story I've heard of getting a lawyer to help with traffic tickets has resulted in a huge success for the driver, and most of the time, the drivers were doing totally flagrant stuff behind the wheel.

Hard to say. He has the smallest engine available in the chassis for the year in America in each car.

Even without a lawyer if you go in dressed nice and explain the situation and the fact that you could loose your job the judge will probably make you a deal, but a lawyer would be a good thing to have as well.

In the three cars I've owned I've only gotten in trouble in the slow ones, for example:
1st car: 1987 Volvo 740GLE, 2 speeding tickets.
2nd car: 1997 BMW 318IS, 1 speeding ticket, 1 single car accident,
3rd car 1993 BMW 325IS, 0 tickets, been pulled over several times and after brief chat with the cop told to have a safe drive.

Don't know if it's maturity, driving more carefully, looking more respectable, or getting better at talking to cops.

Lol got pulled many times driving my sisters civic.. One for speeding, once for driving late at night in a fishy area, one for a busted tail light, one for "no front plate" but im sure he thought we stole the car .. All the officers let me go..

I get pulled once in the e36 and although the cop was nice, wrote me a fix it ticket for no front plate ..

Have yet to get pulled in the e30 but im trying to avoid that at all costs.. At least for now

How does one get rid of good couches? We have two sizeable couches and a recliner in the garage and I want them the hell out. The flooding today makes it even more aggravating.

The problem is that they are ugly, but still good. So nobody will take them for free, and it will be tough to get rid of them ourselves because we don't have a truck. I don't want to just bring them to the dump, I would feel unethical about that since they're usable.
