I was thinking more of the above-average 5-6k non-m E36's.... I'd take an estroil M over a stupid plane any day

Even if you could carry all the regulars' cars on that plane at the same time?, we could all go drive some of those sweet roads in Europe.

Any of you parts car guys have part #6 in this illustration? Console surround for automatic coupe (although I think the manual shift surround is the same thing).

Correction: it needs to be WITH electric window switch openings. Realoem gave me that drawing, but it's wrong.

Glucose dropped from 451 a week ago to 251 last Monday. Needs to be ~110, but dropping 200 points made a huge difference. I am feeling a lot better. Still don't have much energy, but that's improving. The meds are oral, no insulin shots (yet), and the diet isn't bad. Lots of stuff I like anyway, so it's not hard to stay on it.

I looked up what pelican gets for that surround and just about fell off the chair. Dang near $300 with shipping, and it's a special order "from BMW" part. Holy mother Macree!

If one from a manual car will work than yes, but you'll need to wait till next week when I get out of school.

I also have part #1 in this diagram, parts 1-15 in this diagram, Part #1 in this diagram, parts 1-8 in this diagram, parts 1-17 in this diagram And you know what, I think you get the picture, buy manual swap kit (from me) and make Bebe way more awesome.

Chip, you're really locked in on that 5 speed swap kit sale, aren't you?

If it was up to me, and I had the coin, I'd do it. In fact, I would have already done it, but I am the only manual shift driver in this household. My wife refuses to even try it, and my daughter could (re)learn if she wanted to (she used to drive my LUV when she was 10-12), but she's now one of the lazy masses that think no car should require more than turning the key and moving a lever once to get to where they're going.

Hey man, in one week I'll be out of college, and in six months and one week I'll have to start paying back all my loans, I needs teh money.... So that I can spend it on frivolous things like coil overs while I still can . When I have kids they won't even touch an automatic until they learn to drive a proper car, and if they want my help buying their first car you'd best believe it'll be stick.

My daughter's paying back her loans now. Doesn't owe much, like $17k. Went to an expensive undergrad school on a tuition scholarship. She did pretty well with post-grad studies. Did her whole MA studies on their nickel, and even got paid for most of it. She worked in the archives; they paid everything but "student fees", and paid her $12/hr for 20hrs/wk for two+ years.

I think when I get Elvira more liveable she'll want to learn to drive her. My wife is hopeless when it comes to manual shift. I tried 30 years ago to teach her and it almost broke up our marriage. I gave up. Peace was better than her driving a stick shift.

they attatch to the lower portion of the shifter, extending the 'reach' of the throw from the fulcrum, thus reducing the distance the shifter has to 'throw' (or travel) for the shift to engage the gear selected.

Door handle ceased function. Of course, it had to happen when it was 14 fricken degrees. Couldn't have happened in the summer or anytime nice

Was able to get it apart in auto class, looks like its the lever-looking thing that pivots when you pull the handle that broke. In theory it should fix without having to pull the whole assembly. Grr...

Speaking of camber, did you fix what was going on with that wild tire wear on the front?

Nope, not yet. waiting for my check to come in today so i can go get some used tires atleast and then alignment for the 6th time
its already been more than 1k on tires and alignment

$720 for all 4 brand new tires
$100 for each alignment, which ive done 5 times already.

And Now $100 to $200 more with used tires and ANOTHER alignment... this time from a BMW shop.

All this better work.... otherwise im gonna brick the **** out of my car and sell it for parts. ill prablably keep some for my wifes ///M3 but yeah... im at my braking point.

Last night i broke my Cell phone from all the Frustration.

Make sure you tell the alignment shop what happened to your tires so they know to look for other trouble spots. You don't want this happening again, obviously.
