Won't waste a thread on this, got this text from a friend:

"Shelley's e36 won't start. It'll keep trying to turn over but won't. It did a few times and it smelt horrible and is smoking white. Coolant level in the tank havnt changed. Ran fine up till now"

Any suggestions?

I would like to know more about the smelt horrible part? Pull plugs see what they look like. Look down into the cylinder if you can. White smoke could be oil or coolant.

And my understanding is it cranks but won't fire

My 318 did the same thing when the crank sensor was going bad, the smell thing was there also during the same time. Guess that could be too much fuel in the exhaust system.

Alright, so I just barely finished putting everything back in. what do you guys think? I really wanted to throw on some ///M colors so they can match the seats but they didnt have any of the colors. Still came out pretty clean.

Got a set sitting on my porch. I think I'm going to seal them and put the stickers on and stuff Friday night, drop them off first thing Saturday morning to get mounted and balanced, go to my buddies and swap my suspension and wheel bearing and wash the car, then go back to the shop and pick up the wheels so i can put them on.

I need to see how much stuff has to come apart to swap the suspension, I dunno if it's going to throw my alignment out of whack but I dont think it'll be too bad. If anything I can drop it off monday for a fresh alignment.

Its a pretty good deal for a name brand one but honestly I have a 3" diameter aluminum pipe that i got for fwee.99 and a K&N filter for $40, It's worked for me for the past 30k.

One of these days I might actually make a heat shield for it too, if I feel like it.

Does anyone know of a good suspension DIY with a tool list in it? I want to collect as many of my own to bring since we'll have so many cars apart at one time on Saturday.
