Ugh!
I say nay.

I was on the fence for a while. After seeing many cars, e36 and others, with one side of their AEs not working I made my decision.

City lights!

Eventually!

They literally pop in the back with the glass headlights... You don't need to remove the lens.

i don't know about that... on my DJ's there is a clearly defined socket in the high beam area, I'll surely look it over though to be positive. ive got a crap ton on 194 bulbs, some are amber some clear... options.

Yeah that's what I mean. The socket pops in on the back of the high beam. You definitely don't have to remove the lens on Depos.

You don't on DJAutos, either. Take the back cover and bulb off, put the 194 in the socket, put everything back, connect the wiring to the park lights, done.

that right there is why im glad that I was never a high end car technician. My school offered enrollment options for BMW,Jag,Mercedes, and Porsche. I was employed by Subaru at the time.

that job just looks like it is miserable.

That's one way to view it. The other way to view it is that somebody pays you tons of money to rip apart a Carrera GT! But yeah, it's crazy. The whole engine has to come out, and to do that, you have to disassemble the entire rear half of the car.

So with my new brakes I found out I dont need spacers to clear my coilovers anymore...

I'm at a crossroad here. Without spacers, I can
-fit larger tires
-reduce rubbing to near nothing (which may be negated if I upsize tires, 225 now but potentially looking at 235)
-tuck tire if I so choose

Keep spacers, my rim rubs the fender lip (even rolled), and a small portion of the inside fender
wheels poke slightly out
plus, spacers add hp yo!

I ask because I'm ordering studs, I'm thinking I'll just get 75mm all around and call it good. Whaddya think? I was never a fan of studs sticking out, but I think it'll grow on me

The rear view mirror in the Disco has officially petitioned for divorce from the windshield, looks like it won't be long until the proceedings are finalized. That got me wondering what the best adhesive would be to reapply it, which took me back to my childhood in old cars and the number of times my mom reattached the mirrors (many) and how many successfully stayed (none).

So, I called Safelite for a quote since they obviously know how to do that, which brings me to todays PSA.

PSA: if your rearview mirror is being a bitchy little whore like mine and tryna leave her man, Safelite will reattach it for FREE.

In other news, the Pelican order I made yesterday at like 430 was out for delivery to my house this morning when I left. That's ridiculous.

DJ just interrupted a song set to warn of a new crash blocking 3 of 5 lanes at an already lousy intersection on my route to work. CHP states 2.5 hour delays.

Yay.

I know, I use it every day, it's bookmarked on every device I use. But it didn't say 2.5 h delay when I left.

The problem is I have no other viable options. My office is on 92 west of 880. That leaves me with surface streets or 84 - 680 - 880 or 84 thru Fremont, both of which are hugely out of my way.
