Likewise to you people that don't follow the rules.

Yeah, the regs are simultaneously excessive and vague. Everything in BSA/AML is "risk based" which makes it very subjective. I don't think you guys have to deal with that part, but almost all of them suck.

Just remember, you may think the policies are silly, but when you goof up we get stuck trying to explain it away to the enforcers so straighten up, you prick.

Its true... they are silly, but they are there for good reason!

I really do follow the rules. certain ones I avoid that are really company policy type things. and good luck proving I avoided it ....

ugh, i'm ready for the weekend.

Jen-- Natick is closer to me. However i'm pretty busy this weekend. Heading up the Nashua NH to get some things (love that tax rate up there huh?). I work in Waltham, so Arlington is pretty close... maybe a weekday drop if your around and not on the road?

really? never heard of it? I've seen tape be used too. They always want to re-balance, but I don't always want to pay for it.

Happy B-day!

Well, I'm pleasantly surprised with the Car X I just brought my car to. They only charged $21/wheel to dismount tires, clean bead/valve stem area, replace valve stems, and then remount/balance tires
They also said it looks like someone attempted to slash one of my tires, but that they must have been too weak to finish the job I did notice them previously, very shallow cuts on the sidewall, they agreed its nothing to worry about.

They also talked a lady out of spending $600 on a new radiator, and said there was a shop down the street that could do it for about $400, so they seem very honest

I can't find it anymore. I think someone scooped it up because the guy was only asking for $50.

My bad for not posting to the CL thread.

I assume Car X is a jiffy lube type place? I love finding a good quick shop. There is one called Just Tires near me, and they are completely awesome. Fair prices, will do any work you want them to do and nothing you don't, and the service advisor's gets bull**** mad when customer's complain about other shops recommending stuff they don't need. They got me out of a hard spot when the dick at Merchant's wouldn't align my car because he was pissed I put didn't pay him to put the tierods on it. Last time I used them I had them mount a tire on one of the E39 wheels and he waved the price because it took too long.

yep, similar to Jiffy Lube. They even offered to fix my janky ebay exhaust for $110, re-welding all the hanger brackets and bending the pipe so it doesn't continue burning my back bumper

Happy birthday Joey!

Hey, has anyone else logged onto bimmerforums tonight using Mozilla? I'm trying to gather parts for my heated seats retrofit and when I tried to access BF.com, I'm getting a virus warning....so I obviously didn't continue...but I'm wondering if it's me, or something more widespread...

Anyone order from BMWParts4cheap? They have the hard to find e46 heated seats retrofit kit for about $100 bucks less than the ebay dude (and about $75 less than BMW of Atlanta)....can't find any reviews on the web for them or here, for that matter.

Thx

I tried at work and Google blocked it independent of a browser, though it was on IE.

Could be a glitch, could be their server got infected, but I'm not interested in finding out the hard way.
