17X8.5 5-120 ET44 TRM MT1

But what the heck does this mean??

Standard m3 18s will also fit, but I thought smaller tires for winter driving was better....
Jen, the smaller tires that are meant are narrower tires. Larger diameter wheels aren't an issue at all.

ie: You're better off with 18 x 8s than 17 x 9.5s.

As for the styles, here's all OEM BMW wheels:
http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/

(and the cars they came on standard, including offsets).

Thank you!!! I will look for 18s (which, quite frankly are pretty easy to find)

And I did more research...those specific items deciphered means...

TRM 1=TRMotorsport M1 wheel
5x12 is the bolt pattern
17x8.5 is wheel size
Offset=44

I learned something new today. Now I can go to sleep!

^^^This^^^^ Same applies for off road racing. Narrower, particularly in the front, is better. You want rudders, not skis.

And df if you browse through the Toshiba website there's a link that directs you to a parts store (that isn't Toshiba so it says at least)

What would you guys write in an email to a craigslist job offer? I've written about 10 responses and they all sound stupid

I basically want to let them know I'm interested and will be sending my resume. None of the jobs I'm looking at provide phone #s, so it must be email..

DON'T send any truly personal info, half of CL jobs are info phishers. Don't complete any applications asking for SSN or things like that, just write Authorized to Work in US and tell them you'll be happy to provide after an in person interview. Same with pics of DL or SS Card.

I would make the email body your cover letter, make it brief and specific and express your interest, but it HAS to make an impression or they won't even open your resume. Attach resume in PDF, if it's a .doc or anything you never know how it will display on their computer if their formatting settings are different or they're missing a font.

Ok thanks for the advice!

I'm guessing these jobs aren't all that legit.. Security jobs starting at $23 and $29/hr?

Damn, $29/hr is almost $60k/yr before taxes. $23/hr is well over $40k too. Seems sketchy, unless they pay in cash with a powdery substance on some of them.

I'd be OK with that...

I know there are jobs in the security field that pay $20+ per hour, but those are usually pretty intense jobs, ie working security for a wealthy family or working for the city inside the state capitol, etc..

In CA, security jobs pay in the upwards of $25/hr for entry level jobs.

I assume your area has a significantly higher cost of living than Ryan's though, which probably accounts for a big portion of that gap. Technically I make $40k/yr (before taxes), which seems like a lot for a 22 year old, but I could rent three houses where I grew up for what we pay for one townhouse near DC.

We aren't even that close to the city, its 30 minutes without traffic to get downtown.

If you add up all of our payments, we spent a little over $24k to land there for a year, in a 1000 sq ft 2BR with a separated 1 car garage. The total value of the lease on the townhouse is something like $30k, and we'll be lucky if the landlord doesn't try to jack the rent up on us when we resign.

I don't think that's correct, there are some police departments barely paying that. There are, however, several PDs paying much more here. Oakland PD is hiring and I've heard starting salary for a rookie with no experience is over 70/yr.

I think most rent a cop jobs are about 14/hr here.

Edit, Joey, ain't that the truth. Was just talking to one of Brittanys friends who moved here from rural Illinois, they were paying 600/mo for a 3br/2ba single family house. And I thought our 4/2 1800sqft at 1500/mo was a steal when I moved out of the Bay.....its just crazy how cheap things are outside of metro areas.

Oh I completely agree. I'm just saying a security guard isn't going to have near-Police-officer pay.

That's OPDs STARTING salary. Now imagine a ten year veteran.
