Ok i'm glad someone else noticed the back left wheel as well (I saw it right after I posted it here). I'll probably pass just because of the potential headache..

I need to go drive one and find out. They look better than the E90 (but what doesn't) but I'm not a big fan of the headlights and grilles touching.

I'm waiting to see if the 2-Series is any good, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

I'm really disgusted with how convoluted their lineup is becoming. Let's go back to 1999:
3, 5, 7, 8, Z3, Z8, X5. Perfect.

Yeah, I hear ya on that. I can't figure out why BMW felt the need to give coupes their own model series number.

Only thing I like about the E46 is the drivetrain and the interior. Although I think I would like the E36 interior better if it didn't rattle and the door panels were better. I just like the old school look. People think I'm crazy when I say I'd rather have the stock headunit over a new one.

I was thinking it wouldnt be bad to either part it out, or fix it up and eventually supercharge or LS swap..

front end damage:
I wouldn't mess around with that frame damage. That front corner is folded up pretty bad.

Random question: are M50/S50 and M52/S52 valve covers interchangeable?

Yes. However, you need the coils from the respective era of the VC, and you would need to make an adapter for the CCV.

Do it. You have room in Chilton, you have time, and you should break even fairly quick

I was excited cause I thought it was a Cummins at first...

Then I got excited when I watched it slide around. I can only imagine the epic trolling...

would love to do this to an e38, and was part of the initial plan i had with the one i took a look at the other day.

will have a few ?s tho, so will go hit up the e38 forum.

that e46 looks to be a bit rough, and, unless you had a cheap source of parts or it was an uber rare version, i would figure it would be cheaper/easier to simply go get one that is already together...

Wow......this might actually be getting real. Just talked to the owner of the 7 for nearly 45 minutes. He sounds very interested and I'm interested in his, we're meeting Friday to check things out. Does sound like it's got a lot of the little 7-series odd problems though which is disappointing but I think it's a good trade.

Good luck with the E38 trade.

I just looked at what I have left in student loans. One should never do that.
